Welcome to Coaches Corner

I will attempt to give you weekly updates on our teams progress throughout the season. You will get updates on injuries, scouting reports, stats, and other details to keep you informed of what is going on with Piketon Redstreak Basketball.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Redstreak Nation for your outstanding support over the past five years. Great things are soon to come with our program, we are certainly excited and pumped up for the challenges we will face this upcoming season. I believe God has his hands on this program; therefore" if God be for us; then who can come against us"

Well...after two games we sit at 2-0, going into a big game tonight at Huntington. The kids have been working very hard defensively and appear to be picking up where we left off last season. It's early, so we will keep you updated on our progress. God remains the center of our success. "The Power of One can change the World"

Since my last post, we have went 1-2, losing at Huntington 52-49, winning at Westfall 77-58, and losing to Columbus Mifflin 84-83. Although both losses were heartbreaking and games that I feel like we should've won, I'm very pleased with our efforts.
Now, as players and coaches, we have to just find a way to win close games. Free throw shooting seems to be a weakness, and we need a little more production from our bench. I believe our best basketball is yet to come, however we will have some adversity to overcome in the next few weeks. We have two league games before going into the Holiday Classic, so we are hoping to really start playing well as the season progresses.

Streaks beat Paint Valley 94-58 and Adena 81-29 and now has a record of 5-2 going into tonights matchup with Beaver Eastern in the Waverly Holiday Classic. The Streaks will be without 6'6 Caleb Southworth who is currently in Myrtle Beach, S.C. getting ready to play in a High School Football All-Star game.
Huntington lost to Unioto, which moved the Streaks into first place tied with Zane Trace. I will keep you updated as the season goes.
